🔹 50 m Submersible Design:
The L Series is designed for underwater operation to a water depth of 50 m.
Its fully enclosed construction and marine-grade sealing system help protect the hydraulic mechanism from seawater ingress during submerged operation.
The actuator is suitable for applications where valves are installed below deck, exposed to seawater or located in submerged valve stations.
🔹 Tubing-Free Internal Hydraulic Circuit:
The L Series incorporates hydraulic oil passages within the actuator structure.
This eliminates external cushioning pipelines and reduces the need for external flow-control components around the actuator.
The integrated arrangement provides:
Reduced external tubing
Simplified installation
Fewer external leakage points
Better protection of hydraulic connections
Cleaner installation in confined or submerged locations
🔹 Mechanical Stroke Adjustment
The L Series incorporates mechanical end-position adjustment to set the required valve travel.
This allows the actuator stroke to be matched to the valve during assembly and commissioning without requiring an external stroke-control device.
The mechanical adjustment provides:
Adjustable valve end positions
Straightforward commissioning
Stable mechanical positioning
Adaptability to different valve configurations
🔹 Adjustable End-of-Stroke Cushioning
The integrated hydraulic cushioning system controls actuator speed near the end of the stroke.
Cushioning can be adjusted according to the valve characteristics and operating conditions to reduce impact at the end of opening or closing.
This helps reduce hydraulic shock and unnecessary loading on valve seats, actuator components and the connected piping system.
🔹 Extended Guide Structure
The L Series uses an extended guide arrangement to improve output-rod stability and resistance to lateral loading.
The extended guide helps reduce:
Rod misalignment
Guide wear
Uneven seal loading
Seal damage associated with side loading
This is particularly relevant to marine valve installations where piping loads and installation stresses may be transferred to the valve and actuator.
🔹 C5-M Marine Corrosion Protection
The actuator housing is protected by a marine coating system designed according to ISO 12944 C5-M requirements.
The corrosion protection system is intended for demanding marine and offshore environments, including seawater exposure, open-deck installations and coastal applications.
🔹 Optional Deep-Water Configuration
For applications requiring greater immersion depth, the L Series can be configured with enhanced sealing and pressure-compensation arrangements.
The pressure-compensation configuration helps reduce the pressure differential between the actuator's internal chambers and the surrounding underwater environment.
This configuration is available for applications requiring enhanced performance at greater water depths.
The L Series can be supplied either as a standalone hydraulic actuator or as an integrated valve-and-actuator assembly.
For valve packages, actuator thrust, stroke, mounting dimensions and hydraulic requirements can be matched to the selected valve.
For applications requiring remote valve monitoring, the L Series can be equipped with an optional P+F position sensor and 4–20 mA analog output for connection to PLC, IAS or other control systems.
L Series Linear Hydraulic Actuator Integrated with J741H Straight-Way and J744H Angle-Type Marine Globe Valves.
The L Series can be supplied as a standalone hydraulic actuator or integrated directly with selected marine globe valves.
Send us your valve size, required thrust, stroke, operating pressure and water depth. We can recommend the appropriate L Series configuration for your marine or subsea application.
🔹 Designed for Submerged Operation
The sealed construction and optional pressure-compensation configuration allow the actuator to be adapted for submerged and subsea service.
